Description

I love this sweater. From the moment I saw the pattern I wanted to make it, but I couldn’t find the right fabric, until I saw this felted back knit Santa Fe print at the Joann Fabrics, it is so soft and comfy. I almost didn’t put the zipper in, but thanks to Ellen mentioning the style function of the zipper, I chose to add it and I am glad that I did, because I definitely like wearing it with open zipper. I also cut a size smaller, but I think I could have gone 2 sizes smaller. I am very happy with the result and I got a few compliments :)

you deserve all the compliments, it is really nice! Waiting for the right fabric was definitely worth it! I am still looking, so mine will probably be ready for next winter, hahahaha :-))

thanks for the tip. I will be well prepared if I ever get round to doing this. Received some fabric this morning which I’d ordered from Ebay, with the intention of using it for this pattern, but was a bit disappointed when I opened the package. It is nothing like I expected, not chunky and sweater like I wanted, so back to the drawing board :-(((

Haha… I have a lot of projects from a few winters ago :)) Thank you Chula. One tip for the fabric, I wasn’t too happy when I saw the two front pieces are cut on the bias (or a semi bias) I don’t know why… so it made it difficult to match the print on the center front. I feel that it messed up the beauty of the print.

Thank you Maria! I like the fabric too, but wish I didn’t have to cut it on a bias, it messed up the print – couldn’t match it on the seams.
