Sand Dollar Azalea

Added Apr 27, 2010

by nenasew

Florida, United ...

I like Azalea pattern but it is not flattering to my figure. I made this dress with the sheer fabric skirt and I like it very much on a hanger (last picture) but not on a person so I redid it. I took off the overlay and added a few darts to the lining. I like it much better. Also, for fun I started to experiment with petals and in the end I like the effect. They look more like sand dollars than petals.

Material Notes

Garment Type
Beach, Casual, Classic

I like this very much. The last picture is a pretty dress but not so easy to wear. I love the petals!

What a great re-make you did! I like the fabrics, and the petals are nice too, as well as your necklace! The whole look is perfect!

Really nice. A huge improvement in the fit, plus the decoration is pretty but not too fussy.

How clever! No waste, looks great on you-darts & pretty petals make it a classy classic! I think you have drawn wonderfully from details that make your hats unique.

I love this! The plain cream goes really well with your contrast fabric, and the shoulder decoration is amazing :) Nice job!
