I was trying to make the Thai Fisherman Pants, but realized too late that the pattern pieces are not symmetrical. I compensated for my one ridiculously skinny leg by putting in some large panels of fabric, and came up with a similar idea to the Thai pants, but with a lot more bagginess. I decided to love them instead of being mad that they weren’t exactly like the pattern. If anyone is dying to know exactly how I made them, write me, and I will explain exactly what I did.

Yes, I may make a how-to later on, because I really am pleased with how they came out. I am not sure when that will be, though. But until then, basically, all you have to do is cut out all the pieces mirror-image (like you normally would, with the material folded over), then follow the instructions until you have sewn your inseam. Then, add two large panels on the skinny leg side, measuring their widths out so that both legs end up equaling the same around. I also added more fabric at the bottom. If this is not clear (I would not be surprised), I will endeavour to do a better job explaining in the how-to.

haha! I must be tired…I thought that you, yourself, had one skinny leg and all I could think was “wow, that must make it really hard to buy clothes!”
Cute pants!
