This was my second project, but the first one I finished. I had 2 pieces of fabric and 2 patterns, this and the JJ. I wasn’t sure how the stripey fabric would come out, but I thought it would suit the Desira better than the JJ, so off I set with my scissors.
I managed it – a size 38 – out of 1.7m of fabric, and that still gave me enough to make a longer belt and to choose whether it had horizontal or vertical stripes.
I cut the neckband pieces so that the stripes were in line with the body, added a few extra press studs and ta-daah…..and I’ve had comments (nice ones!) every time I’ve worn it – thanks BS!
100% cotton - think it's a Paul Smith remnant, washed first to take care of shrinkage.
