This is the Salme Playsuit pattern.
A friend wanted a playsuit for her birthday and together, we decided on a specific design using this pattern as a base.
For hers, She wanted longer sleeves and full leg coverage, with an added lace insert detail on the back.
She also has a very short back length, so I considerably shortened the pattern piece.
We made a few muslins to fit and when she was happy, we sewed it up in a silky black polyester she chose. (Pictures coming soon)
Instead of buttons, I finished it with hooks and eyes.
I found the pattern pieces for the pocket opening/lining unnecessarily complicated and confusing so I combined them to form one simple facing.
Other than that, the pattern was easy to work with.
With the little fabric that remained, I made myself the original short version (with the back lace detail).
I made no changes to the fit for myself so it was an easy fit straight out of the package!
