Newport, Rhode I...
Not intended, as the originals, to be used for bailing water from a boat. Surprisingly, is water worthy, tho’! However, useful as container for myriad of things. Adds a nautical touch to “cottage” or porch. Works as a tote for beach, gym or pool. Some awesome ones are made from old sails-vintage, in particular. I could not locate any for reasonable price & also discovered most have but one logo, or set of numbers to install character. Thus, I ink jet printed some pretend businesses & appliqued symbols. Yes, the “1” is backwards & an accident. Fortunate to discover sails have numbers printed in reverse to identify when coming & going. No pattern. I hand cut freestyle as I went along & used pot lid for tracing circle as a perfect match diameter for bottom. Finished all edges-twill tape, French seam or several rows of zigzag stitching.
cotton canvas duck fabric, cotton rope cording, suede, cotton suit weight, iron on interfacing, twill tape, graphic printed twill tape, cotton striped ribbon, middy braid, grommets, metal screw type buckle fastener
