This is for the Anda sew-along challenge.
I wanted the dress to look kind of retro/cheesy. The printed nylon/cotton came in handy for that. On my way to chose fabric for the dress, I saw a girl riding a bike wearing a blouse of similar fabric, liked it, and bought this. After much deliberation, I decided not to alter the pattern except for adding the collar and lengthening the bottom. I like the simplicity of the pattern. I added the collar. The button is just for decoration.
I lined the outer fabric to make it opaque. The unbleached cotton I used for this makes the outer fabric just the right little bit less white.
