This dress was made using the lovely Simplicity 2588 sewing pattern, that I think I got free with a magazine a little while back – score!
It was super easy to sew up, though the stretch knit fabric, although very beautiful, proved a bit of a challenge – think I’m going to need a bit more practice, but I don’t mind, any excuse for more sewing :D

I’d love to know what you think, and any advice you may have on sewing with knits :D
Thanks xXx

I would like to know what adjustments you made to create the long sleeves. Did you base it off the included raglan sleeves pattern pieces or come up with it all your own?

Hi, great question, yes I based them on the sleeves included in the pattern and just extended them. I will be honest, I just kind of guessed at this and pinned and trimmed any excess fabric as needed to get the right fit around my arm. I consider myself a novice at sleeves :D xxx

Thank you, I really appreciate you saying that, I was worried about the fit, it is a little different to what I normally make :D xXx

The fabric that you chose is quite nice.
