Description

I like this pattern and it was very interesting so I wanted to give it a try. (inspired of Luz’s top) I have used jersey and it was fun to make all those ruches. My sister in law was lovely wearing the dress so therefore she was the happy owner of this :)

Ellen, so lovely as a dress. I can see better the effect on the shoulder. Very well made. Your sil is a lucky lade. It does look great on her. x

Thanks Luz – I was inspired by the lovely top you made and wanted to try this pattern, but decided to go for a dress instead since I had enough fabric. I agree, my sister-in-law fits it perfect :-)

It really looks excellent, Ellen! The fabric made the pattern really winsome… I only wonder why I am not so brave to try such patterns … :-)

Thanks a lot Oksana! It’s true, and I didn’t like to have the seam in front, but for this fabric it was no problem because you couldn’t really see the seam… I think you should give it a try and I’m sure you’re gonna like it :-))

Lovely dress ellen, i am so glad you made this as i was mulling over tracing it out. I prefer your version.and its always nicer seeing one sewn up. Your sis in law looks lovely wearing this and like chula said this would make a fab holiday dress. Are the sides fixed ellen? Or can the rouching be moved up and down. ♥♥♥ x found my smiley icons lol x

Thanks sweet Mary! Yeah, you can move the rouching up and down, so when it’s warm – ola-la it’s a mini-dress :-))

This is lovely Ellen and your sister-in-law looks so nice in this ruched dress. I too didn’t really like the model in the magazine but you have bought it to life and I like it very much.
