This dress was made using a vintage sheet. It has a basic darted bodice and a gathered straight skirt. I made the ruffles by stitching pleats in the hemline. I used bias binding to finish the neck and sleeves. I would love to make another with the new reverse facing neckline that I am playing with – but I have no more of this amazing fabric left!!

I love the skirt! Are you wearing a petticoat with it?

Thanks – no petticoat – the pleats add a little stiffness to the hemline helping it to keep its shape :)

Very nice, looks similar to a (very expensive) dress I saw lately in a magzine – trendy! :-)
