Made from Simplicity #2599, which was highly recommended on Pattern Review as a great wardrobe builder, easy for beginners, etc. I plan to use the pattern again, perhaps with a more structured cotton (I have a few in my stash). I also think that the ruffle / bow detail would look good in a contrasting fabric to make it stand out a bit more.
Very fine Indonesian cotton batik, thrifted on a recent visit to Vancouver. Quite sheer and fluid.
