This is a total remake of a skirt I made last year. I lost a bit of weight and needed to take the skirt in, but the alterations were so huge I ended up having to completely remake it. This version is heaps better. I also learnt some lessons about why we need darts and installing an invisible zipper on a curve without buckling. Blogged about it here: http://sewhopefull.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/ruffle-pencil-skirt-aka-why-skirt-needs.html
Its my first attempt at a self-drafted pattern and I have learnt SOOOOOO much from it.
A mystery linen look alike from my stash, at least 25 years old plus a vintage looking cream cotton lace trim. Its lined in silk, which makes it feel really luxurious on.
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
