Made a muslin before I made my Peach Spring Sorbetto, with left over striped fabric from another project. The resulting muslin was a little ‘blah’, so I decided to ruffle it up a little. Fabric has some body causing the ruffles to flounce out a bit. This is a fine fun design feature. I did however have to resort to stitching the fold down flat onto the ruffles to hold it all in place. Am pleased to have a wearable muslin.
Blue and white striped polyester. It has some body with hardly any draping qualities. Top was a bit stiff until it was washed and worn a few times. It still retains some of its stiffness.
