following a pattern from Burdastyle (german issue 9 of 2010) i made the “Weisse Magie” blouse nr 102 of page 51. using a slightly stiffer off white cotton and mother of pearl buttons.
i changed a few things on the pattern (the ruffles have been only one layer at the original pattern, but i used the doubled (as if you would do the cuffes on a sleeve) and i also changed the proportions a bit.
the end result (decorated with a tone-in-tone embroidery (with my new mashine – i love it!!!!) has been for my beloved friend Pam. so it was clear that it had to say “Lady Pam” on one of the cuff ruffles
100 off white cotton, maching thread and embroidery thread, mother of pearl buttons

Your dear friend is a very lucky lady! I remember this pattern, it was in an “Alice in Wonderland” kind of feature right? You did an amazing job as always. I am particularly impressed with the wrist cuffs!

You’re too much Ralf! You’ve created such a fabulously bold blouse. it looks like whipped butter in haute couture. Lucky Pam! I’m green with envy over your embroidery machine. It’s next on my wish list.

As far as I can see, the doubled ruffle has been a good idea. The collar effect is fabolous!

thank you bussey! i did not like that in the original pattern there has been only one layer of material and the outside of the collar and cuff ruffels has been only either overlocked or zig-zaged. i like this version more :-)
