Cocoa, Florida, ...
This miniature skirt was made especially for my dog, Lulu. I didn’t use a pattern, but rather let the skirt come together on its own. The waist has two rows of ruffles sewn onto an elastic band, one in the rayon blend pink material and the other in the cream chiffon. The body has two rows of what I call “balloon ruffles.” I took the material and pleated the top and took the bottom and pleated that as well to make a balloonish ruffle. (Forgive me if there is an actual name for this!) It is finished off with a 2" skirt bottom that is pleated all the way around. It is a slip on with no zips or velcro. It turned out better and more adorable than I expected! She is comfortable in it and looks so cute!
