I still haven’t recovered from my cream ruffled knit fabric addiction. This blouse is so soft and comfy I want to wear it for pajamas but the rhinestone buttons down the front and on the cuffs dress it up enough for a fancy party. Just in time for the holidays! I used the yoke ruffles on the back as well. My pattern was a roomy shirt so it was ideal for this tissue knit fabric because it hangs so beautifully. And the delicate knit might not be as flattering if it clung to every single curve. : (
Click “yoke” in credits below to see how to apply the ruffle material to your existing shirt or blouse pattern.
I only have small scraps of this fabric left, but just enough to make a fun accessory. I will be posting my last ruffled knit project soon.

I assume you used a serger to finish the edges of the ruffles – yes?

No Linda. If you’ll go to my website and look at another project I made with these ruffles called “faux wrap ruffled top” you’ll see the full description of these ruffles and where you can buy them. There’s also a photo. These are not strips of ruffles but ruffle yardage, just like any other fabric. It’s 50" wide and the edges are finished. Email me if you have any other questions.

Your blouse is so lovely and feminine and I think you are so creative in the ways you have used your ruffled fabric. I hope you have or had a wonderful Christmas day like I have had with my beautiful grown up children, my Mum and my sister and her family.

It’s lovely! It looks very delicate and pretty. What a great way to decorate a garment, and like you said, add a layer above the basic “clingy” layer of fabric. Great job!
