This is a tounge-in-cheek baby project based on an internet meme (whic h is now becoming a bit of a craftster embroidery-board meme)
On the sewing side the construction of the cushion cover itself is quite simple, the ruffle was constructed as a large square, gathered and then in sandwiched between the front and back pieces before sewing. The base floral fabric is an old bedsheet and the bias tape is home-made from an old pillowcase :-)
This is now in my baby’s room. I’m due in 2 weeks and we don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy haha, so if it’s a boy I guess I’ll make a more suitable pillowcase cover (or just keep it for myself… that is more likely.
The text reads: Have you seen this unicorn?
If you have you’re tripping balls…
of course, as always, the full story is on my blog
