Description
This jacket pattern was love at fist sight! It’s a Natalie Lekala pattern and I had it for a while now just waiting for the right time to start it. I thought it would be very difficult but turns out it was a breeze to put together with the exception of the lining, that gave me the most problems. Not to mention the instructions are terrible, they are translated from Russian and like most languages a lot is lost in translation so you have to depend on your own sewing skills to put it together.
I immediately fell in love with the back 4-tier ruffles which is what drew me to this jacket. I knew from the moment I saw the pattern I would be lining it in leopard fabric. I couldnt find a leopard satin print I like in a medium weight fabric that didn’t cost a fortune so I got creative and bought a pair of Leopard satin pajamas in a size 2XX and it worked out perfect! I’ve only seen one other person who made it online and she made it in Corduroy fabric, her version was nice as well. I made it in a lightweight gaberdine for the springtime, I may end up making another next winter in wool. I’ve received compliments on the jacket and it feels great being able to say I made it!
