This rucksack was made in leatherette with slightly padded strapes.
The brilliant thing is that I’ve used a place mat for the green flap, which cuts out loads of the finishing off. (ie. one of those mats that you put your plate on when eating at the table, not that I do!)
The body of the rucksack is based on a HUGE circle which is gathered up into a semi circle at the front.
Unfortunately, the lovely green mat that I used didn’t hold up well to having it’s holes used as button holes. I’m looking for an alternative at the moment and when I find one you can view the step by step tutorial on my website: http://www.stitchless.co.uk
Thanks alot,
Tree.

You are so creative and this back pack is so unique. It’s amazing how a table mat can change a project into something so special.
