Description

This is (yet) another variation on the Jalie 2908 stretch jeans. The pattern is for flares, but my kids are all about skinnies these days. Just for fun, I added some ruching to the bottom of the front leg, for that extra-scrunchied look, and swapped out the pockets for shield-shaped ones. I also added (as I always do for the kids) buttonhole elastic to the waistband.

You can see more construction details here and some more modeled shots here:http://tanitisis.wordpress.com/2011/11/14/la-mode-syo/

Material Notes

Some highly super-stretchy “denim” from the thrift store. It’s very soft and comfy, not very sturdy. Topstitching thread, piping, buttonhole elastic.

Super cute! I think these would work for us grown up girls too! Nicely done!
