New York, New Yo...
As part of our RESTYLE series we made a navy wool pair of Ruby shorts for Nora. Still using the basic design of the pattern we shortened the length and used navy wool for a cute sailor’s look. We removed the back pocket flap pieces and did welt pockets instead for a more grown-up look from behind. We also eliminated the belt to simplify the waistline.
We still love the look of the original Ruby shorts, but this style can be worn to the office with a blouse & blazer, or even at night with pretty stockings and a fancy top.
1 3/8 yards ( 1m 20cm) woolen suiting, linen, or cotton twill, hook & eye closure for waist, 10 buttons
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
