  Umm… Confused… Since back pockets were specifically mentioned, why isn’t there a picture from the back? Otherwise, very cute and I feel like ever someone curvy like me could pull these off… (to wear – don’t know so much as a super beginner to make)

  Why is this model considered a “real woman” ? I mean, shouldn’t she be referred to as an “average woman”?

  I think the models and women everywhere who are tall and skinny probably take offense to being left out of the real woman category.

    I never ment to leave out anybody, but I DO dislike being left out myself by the fashion people using models at the tall&skinny end (real = repreasenative = average, just a matter of wording; we could debate on that, but I prefer to admit my not being native English speaker and I bring my excuses to the tall&skinny&trendy people who felt offended). I also (at the other end – not short but fat) want to follow the fashion and look as good as possible – seing clothes on women closer to how I look like is helpful, seeing them on tall&skinny helps me least possible. And of course I will give honest comments from my own perspective.

  I second all of the above posts and have taken all of those points into my opinion. I would still like to see a photo of the back. Especially since you mentioned the rear pockets specifically.

  Thank you for using a model looking like a real woman, she is beautiful! The photos give a good idea about how the garment would look like on my daughter (also normally shaped).

  As for the shorts I find the proportions unflattering (the low waist and shortened length). For this restyle of Ruby I would have chosen for an extra high waist together with the shortening. I like though the idea of making them more grown-up (choice of fabric and the welted pockets).

  For sure a no-no for the office! Cute for the evening with nice stockings.

    I don’t necessarily agree that shorts are inappropriate for work. I work for better womens suit company and we have (on occsion) produced shorts with our summer suits. However, the length was much longer than these. Still, I like the update and think appropriateness has everything to do with your employer’s dress code, and careful styling.
