Casual and cool. I made the “Ruby” shorts from this very site in an olive denim with leather-looking buttons. They’re a little big, but the belt included in the pattern is doing its job. The buttons (instead of a zipper) make this stand out as unique.

They don’t actually have side pockets. You unbutton the side buttons to get into them! There’s no zipper. Fun and different.
