Description

I had an old skirt from dress-ups and had never looked at as something to remake until now! I used the ruby shorts pattern, and obviously shortened it. I like this length, it makes it easier to run around and climb trees! Next time I use this pattern I will lengthen the inseam a bit—its a little tight. I skipped on the pockets because I was too scared, but I really like them better this way. Overall, I am very happy with my new shorts!

Material Notes

recycled flower fabric from an old skirt

I adooore these! The pattern is so pretty. I tend to dislike shorts, but after having seen these beauties, if I find such pretty fabric, I’ll be sure to try my hand at this pattern!

these look fantastic! i actually like your version better than the original burda shorts and i may have to try this pattern for myself. (and i’m glad you recycled the old skirt instead of throwing it out :) )

They look amazing! Very nice fit and nice fabric too :) I didn’t like the pattern very much, but your shorts look so good, that I would like to make them too :)
