Made as a focal piece in my Burlesque Girl Halloween costume, I threw this together on my dress form from scrap fabric in my collection. I wanted a miniskirt with a drape front and a bustle back that would show off a glimpse of my black bloomers, and that’s what I got! In addition, because of how it’s put together, I can use this on top of a longer skirt as an apron. The waistband is a long strip that wraps around the body and fastens in the back with a hook-and-eye and a button. I wish that I had some heavy-duty interfacing to support the waistband, because that would do a lot of good, but I did not. Next time.
