I took an old tunic top and an old skirt that I never wear and turned it into a dress. I cut off most of the top and then attached it to the skirt. I cut both the top and the skirt in half. I added a zipper in back. Also in the back I made it so there wasn’t much fabric. I shortened the skirt and took that fabric and put two pieces across the top. I lastly added the extra button that came with the top to the back. I ironed all the seam allowances. I had to iron the top part so that it would lay flat. I ironed the hem as well, all on a low nylon/silk and synthetic settings. I think it turned pretty cute. It is awesome to take two old things from my closet and make something new that I will get more wear out of.
