Burda Style For people who sew

So i took a shirt that my hubby absolutely hated and created an outfit for my Alix. I made a pair of shorts and a little bolero. I had a ton of shirt left after i finished the shorts so i wanted something to go with it but I didn’t want the outfit to look too matchy, so I looked thru my stash and had this great cotton fabric that went perfect with it. I lined the jacket with the left over shirt and even had enough to make a little purse and hair clip! You can’t see it super well but the sleeve on the jacket are rouched.
I had a ton of fun with the shorts I tried to use as much of the shirt as i could. So i used the collar and under-collar for the waist, the button placket for the loops on the shorts and all the original buttons. I used the sleeves to make the purse, and the scraps for the flowers.
I wish that i could have gotten a pic of my hubby in the shirt before but he wasn’t available since i just learned about the contest on tuesday and i couldn’t wait for him before i cut into it!
