This was my main January project. Its the Vogue homage to one of Roland Mouret’s dresses. I love the shape.
A new work dress to shirk off my work nickname of “geeky granny” – due to excessive cardigan wearing. I think this will help…
I blogged it to death on www.bijouxbetty.com. My favourite thing is that it has flanges. which tickles my inner child.
Crepe, John Kaldor print Synthetic blue lining (picture of it before the zip went in. Iron on interfacing for the flanges.. heh heh

Have been loving this pattern for a while now and your version is one of the best! There’s definitely not going to be any more of “Granny” comments! Actually, the first picture (masterfully done, by the way, in my humble opinion) reminded me of those “femme fatale” entrances in film noirs!!! :-);-);-) You look amazing in it!

It’s lovely and the fabric goes so well with it! I’m soon finishing off my own V8280, but have trouble with my sway-back/bottom not seeming to fit in with the original shape of the dress (it’ll have to be a muslin first, next time, yikes!)

Geeky granny?! You can say goodbye to that nickname with this dress! It is FIERCE!

sssswit sssswoo! This looks amazing.
I work with some ship engineers who occassionally have to order flanges, greased nipples and man baskets! I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds these things childishly amusing! Flanges….teeeheheeheh!

F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s job! I lurve the patterned fabric. Now all you need is some red lipstick + nail varnish to blow them away at work ;)

Lol, flanges makes me laugh too….how mature. This looks amazing, and much better on you than it does on the Vogue model!
