Brooklyn, New Yo...
This skirt was on my mind for a while, now. When the Sidonie pattern came up, it seemed to be easily convertable to my design. I uploaded it with the plan to use it one day. The MiniChallenge gave me a finnal push. First, I sew the skirt according to the pattern, the hip area turned out to be to curvy for me, so I had to straighten them up. Next step was the waide waist band. I did it using the “try it on, pinch, pin and sew” technique. It took a while. Then I did the pleats. I am thinking about making a how-to, but I am not shure how it will work out yet.
This velvet fabric and cought my eye because of it’s beautifil color; dusty rose. Its very thick and not realy streachy. I thing it might a tapestry fabric.
What do you think of these summery styles?
