Description

Instant gratification projects are the way to go when you have a crawling 9 month old who has learnt how to push the sewing pedal down with her beautiful little hands :-) So on Sunday morning I was seriously craving some sewing and my husband said he would watch our daughter while I sat and sewed for a while and this rose skirt is one of the projects I managed to complete. Very easy quick project. I gathered a rectangle of fabric – approx 76cm x 47cm x 2 for the front and back and then gathered these and stitched them onto a thick band of black elastic. I also cut an A-line lining out of white cotton voille, I pinned both lining and skirt on at the same time skirt onto a thick piece of elastic which acts as the waist band. I wore this to work today and felt like I should have been going to a party instead of sitting at my computer :-)

Material Notes

Rose cotton, white cotton voille to line, thick black elastic
