I finished this coat “just in time” for when I don’t need it anymore because it is too warm now…
The pattern is from Burdastyle magazine 1/2011, Nr. 118, shortened, with long sleeves, and pleats in the back and front instead of gatherings. I tried some classical tailoring methods with this coat, which went surprisingly well and not as time consuming as expected. I added hair canvas interfacing to the front, shaped the undercollar with hair canvas and padstitching, and set the lining in completely by hand (not sure if I will do that again, though). I also made bound buttonholes and used lining covered snaps as inner button.
All in all a nice experience, and I think the nicest collar I ever made!
