i whipped up this reversible purse from verypurpleperson’s pattern as a going away gift for a friend who is moving across the country. i didn’t realize until after i cut out the pieces that the pattern printed out smaller than the original (the 4" test square only measured about 3 1/2"). i used two cotton fabrics recently acquired in a jumbo purchase from an estate sale (i got about 55-60 yards of various fabrics for 40 bucks!!! score!) i had to make slight adjustments to the length of the straps on the fly as the blue fabric had more give and stretched out quite a bit in turning it right side out (twice! i forgot to clip the curves…). i think it came out okay, even if the photo did not.
