My brother and I are half Dutch (half Finnish). He just had a baby boy who is one-quarter Dutch. My brother is a football fan so I figured this would be a nice gift for his son :) I drafted the pattern myself from an existing romper. I added the logo with a contact paper stencil.

It’s very cute! May I ask how you did the stencils? My nephew will be born soon and I’m making some baby clothes right now. Would like to do some custom prints for him!

I printed an mirror image of the logo, put a sheet of contact paper on top of it (paper side up) and traced it. If you have trouble seeing the image under the contact paper, you can tape the whole thing to a window with light coming through :) Then I used an x-acto knife to veeery carefully cut out the parts I want to fill with colour. When you’re done with the cutting it’s a good idea to mark the spot on the fabric. The you just peel off the paper and stick the sticky plastic where it’s supposed to go. For this image I used a black laundry marker since I’ve found that larger fabric markers may bleed out and make the result smudgy. Oh, and it’s a good idea to stencil on the image BEFORE sewing the actual garment. That way only a piece of fabric will go to waste if something goes wrong. I hope this helps :)
