Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Dark denim jumper/romper. I added a cheap woven red belt from Forever 21 + long necklace for a more ‘dressy’ look ;) Used flat-felled seam technique on the inside for more durability with denim fabric.

thnx sooo much i also have another question wen u stitch the casings should they be perfectly straight or just good enough to get the elastic through the casing ???

nice!!!!! is the casing in the bodice supposed to bebig or small help!!

Hey thanks!! The casing around the bodice is actually the same size as the one around the waist. The casing opening is basically about 3/4" wide, because the elastic the pattern calls for is 1/2" elastic to be pulled through it.
I’m pretty sure that I’ll be making the one with the long pants, but prob not for a while. I keep pattern jumping, so we’ll see.

Sorry, don’t know of such pattern. You could probably just use a pattern for the top you like, with the bottom pieces/instructions of this pattern. That way you could just make the elastic casing connecting the shorts + the top you want. Hmmmm…..actually that would be really a cute idea ;)

I am so loving this look for this summer. I bought two patterns – one vintage one present. Just waiting on a demin sale to go on. I plan on doing one in reversible quilter’s cotton too.

that’s a really cute idea! the pattern originally called for an optional neck strap + big pockets on the sides, which I think would’ve been really great additions too. this is just the ‘basic’ romper – but i’m definitely doing another in a nice floral print! can’t wait to see how yours turns out ;)
