I adapted the placemat pattern from Amy Butler’s In Stitches book and put a pocket on the inside to hold a cotton napkin and silverware. I also added a strap with snap that allows the placemat to be rolled up for portability in a lunch sack.
1/2 yard of 2 different patterns of 100% cotton fabric. One 12″ × 16″ piece of fusible interfacing.
