This actually was the project that was supplied for all the participants of the Singer Sew Easy Sewing Party. The only difference was that the directions for the roll had doubled the fabric, so both sides were right sides of the fabric. Thank you Burda for the measurement cards, I love them! Roll-ups are great for things like knitting needles. But much less so for sewing tools, unless you count only thin straight ones like seam rippers and rulers. Putting scissors in there for instance is absurd, the handles keep the roll from rolling.

Thanks for your idea on this rollup organizer. I have been wanting to make one of these things for a long time and now that I have seen yours it has given me the inspiration to make it. Love the print on your fabric.

I made one for my mom’s knitting needles for a Christmas present this past year. Seems to work like a charm.

If you make it taller, you can fold the top down over your scissors, etc. before rolling the whole thing up. Should keep supplies from sliding out.

I made one earlier this year for all my art supplies! Round the edges i used bias binding to give it a neat finsh! These are really handy for organising stuff :)

This looks like a fun project, and something I desperately need. I think I might add an elastic band across the top, though, to help hold the larger objects (like scissors) that may slip out!

Would be great for make up brushes or knitting needles/crochet hooks too.

Cool! I made one of these for my paintbrushes last year, it’s double layered (one back row for large paintbrushes, one small row in front for short ones and my palette knives) and my sister loved it so much that she asked me to make one for her! Hers, after having all of the kinks worked out from making mine, was way cuter than the first one! I have pictures somewhere, I’ll post them someday (hopefully soon.) :)

I have something similar i use to take my silverware and chopsticks in for lunch and use the holder as a placemat or napkin.

This is great. I made a wrap, but I was still very new to sewing so it doesn’t hold the scissors very well at all. Going to try this one though. Thanks for the instructions they look great.
