Rococo Style corset (re print)

Added Jun 23, 2010

by ladya

St Gallen, Switz...

This is the updated version of the corset I uploaded a few days ago, for some reason it wouldn’t let me edit the old post so I had to make a new one.

So its a Corset made for my period garment class, we have to make the undergarments to the dress we are going to make. My is going to be a mid 18th century court dress, probably more in the french style than the english.

Material Notes

Cotton coutil, corset satin, 20 x spring steel boning, 4 x plastic boning, busk, cording, interfacing and indiana drill

Garment Type
Classic, Evening Wear, Other, Vintage
Cotton, Other

WOW this is beautiful and must be so time consuming! I would love to take a period construction class, alas I will just have to do it on my own…

Absolutely lovely…the stitching is a beautiful detail. Did I mention that I am totally jealous that you are taking this class? ;)
