Description
Mixed print georgette 1 piece Kimono Top with my adaptation of asymmetrical hem line and scarf collar embellishment. pixline created and posted this simple and very adaptable pattern. I used inspiration from a recent trip to the store Anthropologie to get the look of feminine, airy, drippy and layers with mixed prints and my touch: a hint of rock-n-roll edge. Collar was truly serendipity in that I was looking at a scrap of fabric to see if I wanted to finish the neckline with the called for band. The collar is a more refined and finished piece of fabric left over from another project and worked well for me. The “tails” produced three pieces that allow for wearer to wear the blouse versatile. Top can be belted and worn with shorts, skirts, jeans, pants, suits, sweaters, jackets…anything.

Sorry, I added a link to this top from mine by mistake, unfortunately the Burdastyle website won’t remove it for some reason :( Apologies again.

Yes, it is good! I really enjoy the combination of fabrics and the option of tying the “scarf” in different ways.

thanks! I am pleased with the way it turned out. Bitter sweet because I shipped it to my sister this morning as it is her birthday gift! I’ll just have to make myself another!
