Description

This is a two layers (taffeta/cotton twill) corset I made for school. I was inspired by the bodice part of this female robot I found a picture of online. My intension was to be innovative, create interesting lines along the body and show some skin. I also wanted to expose the metal spiral boning somehow, so I decided to cut out the boning casings and show the boning through the cut outs.

Material Notes

taffeta, cotton twill, metal spiral boning, grommets.

Wildly creative in both concept and color selection. The perfection of your details is stunning.

Combined with a sassy skirt, it would make a great outfit for a red carpet manifestation! I can imagine some movie/pop star wearing such a thing. Nice job!

I like that you can see the boning, I think the spiral bones are pretty little things!

    has someone worn it?

Doesn’t the spiral boning pinch when the person would move?

I guess you could back it with silicon tape… or something.

    Otherwise, it’s super hot.

The model wearing the corset on the picture did not complaint, so I don`t think it pinches. The boning wires are too close together, maybe that`s what it is.
