Description

A Robin Hood inspired lined vest using the Butterick 4574 pattern. I had the hat, shirt, belt, and pants from other costumes and they give the outfit a little more flare.

Material Notes

Materials used are faux suede, lining, trim, and faux leather for the contrast on the sleeves all purchased from Joann’s.

Hey, thats one cool vest!!! I like the cap sleeves and ribbon. Did you make your shirt as well?

Did you know you can almost remove snags completely by running your nail accross them? Start from the good end, and run your nail along the snag to where the pull began, pulling it taut at the same time. keep doing it about 6 times or until the thread is back in the right place.

I purchased the shirt before I got into sewing. I have a couple yards of gauze that I will turn into a shirt eventually but something about gathering the sleeve ends then attaching them to the body of the shirt intimidates me so I’ve held off on it. I’m going to try your tip on getting the snag out of that lining. I like these kinds of tips.
