I wanted to make a fall/winter version of the dresses I usely make, something classic with a twist, bright, girly. I made version F of Vogue 8766, a dress with elbow length sleeves and full circle skirt. In order to give more fullness to the skirt, it is hand hemmed with horsehair braid following Gertie’s tutorial (http://www.blogforbettersewing.com/2010/06/magic-of-horsehair-braid-little.html). It’s made in a colbat blue heavy cotton, with a small white leaves pattern.
The pattern is really easy to follw but gives way too much ease, I had to take it in quite a lot.
But I am very happy with the results. I might wear it on Christmas Eve.
