Last winter we saw tons of leather and faux leather garments so I had the idea of making a pair of cropped baby blue faux leather pants. Unfortunately it was impossible to find the material, it seems nobody (at least here in Verona) sells baby blue faux leather… Maybe it was better, I’m not good at making trousers, so it’s better to begin with some easier fabrics ;)
I made some mistakes on the size, I have never used elastic fabric and I wasn’t sure about how many inches I had to take off to make them both tight and comfy. They tourned out a bit too loose on the waist and hips and a bit too tight on the legs.
Also I had to add those patches on the knees ’cause I made other mistakes cutting the fabric so I had to hide a seam on the right knee… (embarassing confession!)
In any case I’m happy with the resoult!

I love the patches too! In all of my sewing classes at school when we mess up we always just say, hey—it’s design, right?

The patches are my favorite part! I’d never think they were to hide a mistake. The pants are really cute. Great job! Beautiful picture too!
