I made this dress as a birthday/Christmas gift for my best friend from college (pardon the mediocre lighting in these photos). She’s living abroad and spent Christmas away from home this year so I thought I’d send her something extra special! This is one of two dresses I made for her. I still have a lot to learn about sewing, but I think it came together nicely and it was a lot of fun working on something for someone else!
The pattern is Vogue 1025, shortened a bit, with a brooch where the bodice and skirt seams meet at the waist.
the fabric is a very low pile, lightweight velvet, and the brooch is from Etsy.
