Millburn, New Je...
I made this coat so that my kids, a little girl and a little boy of similar size, could swap it. Years ago I found a really soft orange wool, and it worked really well for this project- it wasn’t too stiff, but it had a good amount of weight to it. I made it based off of this walkthrough I put together, and figured out the size based off of a jacket that fit my children, and then adding a 1/2 inch for the seam allowance, and a little give. The construction is pretty simple, I just hand stitched the hem to make it reversible.
