I gave in and made a different version of the pattern I used on the Double Cowl Dress. This time I swapped the skirt pieces for my tried and true Burdastyle Jenny – cutting the back piece on the fold but still including the darts.
I wanted to wear this to work so instead of the drape at the back as well as the front I used the front of View C to create the back bodice.
This had the unplanned but happy result of making the dress reverdsible, great if you don’t have time to change afterwork in the festive season!

This dress looks really good on you.as a plus size women who always tries to find new patterns that do a bigger girl justice i applaud you! it’s really hard to find(not to mention make) a plus size dress that not only looks good on, but compliment your assets and looks chic and not feel like your hiding in a tent. you have reachet all those goals and then some! you inspire me to keep and try making one on my own! thanks!

It’s a very stylish little black dress which looks great on you. I’m actually quite surprised to see it really work as a reversible garment. Usually, with fitted items, the shape just isn’t right for that.

Thank you!
I know, I was totally surprised too, as I hadn’t planned it that way, but I think the fabric has enough stretch and drape to it that it skims over everything rather than clings.
