Christmas is all about shiny things, sequins, glitter and mushy stuff.
After going to a store and finding out how much a base skirt costed, I decided to make my own, so I headed for the “party dress” fabric stores and got me some silver and sequined fabric and also some red and grey kinda velvet material. For the mushy part I used battik.
I suddenly have a whole new respect for people that do quilting, it is hard to make those mitted corners, and plain corners for that matter.
I made it reversible in case we get tired of the whole shiny silver stuff.
I finally found some use for those pattern stitches on my machine and got rid of the boreness of the plain red.
I’m uploading the pdf file for the pattern in case any of you want to get inspired.
