This project was based on the girl’s reversible wrap top by Jess of Craftiness Is Not Optional. This is a great pattern, and I managed to finish it in two evenings. Unlike other children’s patterns, I’ve used, this one seemed to fit/work quite nicely. Here is the link to the pattern/tutorial: http://www.craftinessisnotoptional.com/2013/08/reversible-wrap-top-tutorial-and-free.html
I had some left-over cotton fabric (the main fabric is Rebecca Bischoff for Robert Kaufman, Blythe, Roses Park), and thought it would be lovely as a top for my five-year old. Since a black cotton fabric was all I had in my stash that would match the flower print, I decided to flip the sleeve caps to give the “reverse” side a little color punch. I sewed bias tape closed for the ties.
