A friend gave me this chair that she had gotten years ago at a yard sale. I knew I was going to need to recover it and decided to totally reupholster it. My first time to attempt this kind of project. I am very pleased with the results.
Demin fabric, foam, cotton batting and muslin.

Well done! Now you definitely can take on more difficult upholstery projects.

We’ll see…LOL. I would like to find a chair for my living room to re-do. Need to start looking at resale shops and flea markets as I don’t want to give too much for it since the fabric will be expensive to recover it. Thanks for your comments!

dear adrienne! this is a fantastic job you did. and i can tell you this from the bottom of my heart. i did two childrenschairs just lately, but had to do their covers to be removeable and washable. this was really a tuff job and yours looks so much nicer than mine!!!

Thanks, I was going to make mine removable but found it easier to just reupholster the whole thing. The cushion cover can come off though…first zipper ever!!!!

I did it totally on my own. I tore the chair apart and used what I took off for my patterns for the arms and the seat and cushion. The I just used a large piece of denim that I seamed together to complete the back of the chair. It took some time and we had a flood to deal with during the process so I am very proud of the outcome considering the process. Oh and thank you for the compliment!!!
