I’ve had this fabric kicking around for years, and before that, my grandma had it for even more years and years. I’m guessing it’s vintage 70s, from the tackiness of the print. In fact the reason why I avoided it this whole time was the sheer ugliness, but I think this peasant blouse-style shape plays up the kitsch in a decent way. I started off with Nayantara’s Dolman Sleeve Dress How-to, but added a gathered neckline and sleeves with self made bias binding as well as a contrasting belt.

I think this looks hot! I love how you highlighted the blue with your striking blue belt as well.

Maybe there’s no such thing as bad print or bad fabric. The trick seems to be in having a vision and you certainly prove that point with this super cute top! Looks really great and contemporary to boot.
