Description

When I started planning my wedding I started turning everything into a project I would make myself. Luckily I snapped out of it. But the one thing I definitely wanted to make for myself was my wedding dress. I wanted something tea-length for a daytime city hall ceremony but still beautiful. This was based on the Vintage Vogue 1084 pattern. I modified it to have less of a cowlneck and a separate transparent yoke.

The Vogue pattern 1084 is a well-known one to me. I felt in love since the first time I saw it. It happened the same with your dress… I felt in love immediatly… it is really perfect and it absolutely suited my taste.

Congratulation on getting married, you look beautiful! How jealous am I on that dress? I really wish I knew how to sew when I got married. Finding a unique wedding dress for a price that most people would consider reasonable was no small feat. You did an amazing job!!! What a wonderful way to personalize such a memorable event!

I was just looking at this pattern yesterday- albeit, not for a wedding dress. What a cool way to use the pattern that I wouldn’t have considered. Very daring to make your own wedding dress. Very nice and hope you had a wonderful day. The dress is beautiful!

Lovely! I love the lace application on the skirt. I’m making my wedding dress too, among many other DIY projects. I’m waiting for that part where I snap out of it.
